A life hijacked

If you feel powerless
Against forces invisible to all
Conserve money, else you will fail
They seek ever your downfall

They will not let you love someone
By manipulating either side
Tests of love they will claim to make
Friendships falter; never to bloom

They have their own agenda
Their own views of the world
Talking sense into their thick skulls
Serves only to drain your soul

My mind suffers many thoughts these days
Whether people I once knew are safe
Do they also suffer as I do
Or are they part of torturing me too

Answers are denied
By family, friends or colleagues
Who serve only to continue
My years long ordeal

There isn’t any law against them
They freely extract from anyone
Under pretence of arbitrating justice
They proceed to disseminate injustice

I am close on forty now
Denied love, friendships and career
With no end in sight, I weep
A life hijacked by unknown creeps.
